Position Details:

Our client is seeking qualified A&P Mechanics in the Hillsboro, OR area. They will be responsible for all aircraft inspection and quality assurance activities of the Company's Maintenance Department. The position involves a high degree of complexity due to strict regulatory compliance requirements. A high degree of accuracy is required.

What your responsibilities and duties will look like:
  • Ensure that all required inspections are properly identified, performed, and documented on all work before the aircraft or component is returned to service
  • Supervise inspection activity for the Maintenance Department, including ensuring that all personnel performing required inspections are properly qualified, trained, and authorized in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
  • The position communicates with the Chief of Maintenance to assist with project planning, prioritizing, and monitoring of tasks
  • Determines the airworthiness status and disposition of any suspected unapproved parts, and files FAA Form 8120-11, Suspected Unapproved Parts Notification, with the FAA
Your current skills and abilities:
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Ratings
  • Completion of a training program at a Part 147 aviation maintenance technician school preferred
  • Inspection Authority (I/A) preferred
  • Three years of aviation inspection experience, including one year of turbine-powered aircraft inspection experience, is preferred
  • Previous experience in a Part 135 and Part 145 environment
