This position is responsible for all customer payment processing, billing and collection efforts for a portfolio of assigned accounts.

Essential Duties:

  • Allocates customer payments to appropriate account and knowledge of specific customer remittance reference information.
  • Processes credit card transactions, issue manual customer billing and credits in a timely manner.
  • Assist customer with account inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers.
  • Determining reasons for payment differences by using problem-solving skills, knowledge of each specific customer in portfolio.
  • Contacting customers to reimburse denied deductions using appropriate collection techniques and asking for supporting documents if necessary.
  • Identifying unpaid past due invoices on assigned accounts and making direct customer contact to collect, while maintaining goodwill.
  • Maintain timely communication with internal departments to expediate payment of delinquent deducts and invoices/correct pricing errors/adjustments as needed.
  • Track, notate, and document action taken.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel required.

  • Problem Complexity - Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult o complex.
  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor/manager.
  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgement in accordance with procedures, techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a supervisor/manager.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable.

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Minimum three years related experience; Manufacturing A/R experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities a must.
  • Industrious team player who is able to interact with multiple departments on a daily basis.
  • Detail oriented, good Customer Service, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
