Position Overview:

The Business Process Analyst is a member of the Trade Analytics and Commercial Management team. In this role, the candidate will support Aramco Trading Americas (ATA) to improve the effectiveness of processes and systems used to manage trading exposures and P&L through consistent, accurate, and timely reporting, data, analytics, systems, and processes. This position evaluates existing processes, identifies needs, and develops strategies to improve business performance. It is responsible to ensure each business stakeholder has the right tools and insights to support operation of daily processes as issues arise that need to be explained and/or resolved. This role will work across the organization to implement process changes, drive system changes, document processes, and provide the training needed to ensure the solution is fully adopted. The successful candidate will have basic functional knowledge in supply and trading processes and principles and will support business maintenance of ETRM systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with trading teams to ensure consistent application of system configuration and processes in support of their business models and daily management of position and P&L
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise with current processes and or systems
  • Lead projects and coordinate with other teams to produce better business outcomes
  • Provide requirements and guidance to business stakeholders, process owners, and/or IT support to resolve business issues
  • Establish methods for testing business applications and create templates for reports used to monitor business effectiveness
  • Partner with management team to assess and improve current business processes
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to keep them updated on process and system changes designed to improve service
  • Collect and analyze data and implement solutions to respond to business changes
  • Influence stakeholders to support business projects
  • Test business processes and systems and recommend improvements
  • Support a collaborative working environment between various STL business and support functions
  • Determine and document business requirements
  • Test and validate delivered solutions to ensure business needs have been met.
  • Support specific business processes associated Trading - specifically Exposure and P&L processes
  • Support improvement projects throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Assist in reviewing available solutions and projects.
  • Work with domain specific vendors and industry groups
  • Develop Key reports, metrics, KPI's and dashboards in support of supply operations. Tools developed must provide key business insight without having a heavy burden of maintenance and upkeep
  • Identify key areas for improvement that will result in cost reduction, margin uplift, and efficient operations from an end to end perspective
  • Work with Commercial Teams (Commercial Logistics, Business Development, Fuel Sales and Marketing), on analyzing and the execution of business opportunities
  • Support the day to day needs of trading, scheduling, MRD, risk, and settlements as a systems and process superuser
  • Manage right angle deal flow configuration and understand how to model logistics, storage, and other deals
Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Math, IT. Finance, or related field
  • Five or more years of experience driving business improvement in oil and gas, preferably trading
  • Four or more years of working in, or implementing, ETRM systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Superior presentation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proven management and organizational skills
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
  • In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making
  • Demonstrated repeatable experience with initiatives which have been successfully delivered and encompass the following:
    • Implementation of business process change
    • Software implementation
    • Change Management activities
    • Knowledge Transfer/Training Activities
  • Ability to institute best practices and improvements in various aspects of day to day work
  • Strong people skills as confirmed thru previous work experience
  • Experience managing expectations while at the same time satisfying requirements
  • Strong Excel, Access, Power BI, and Other Data Visualization tools
  • Basic understanding of Risk Management and Risk Reporting
  • Business fluency with English (Reading, Writing, Presentation)
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
Work in office-based environment, located at ATA's corporate center in downtown Houston, TX
