Health Services Advisory Group seeks a full-time Analyst III position in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Duties
Work with analytics for healthcare policy, measure development, healthcare data analysis, and survey research; contribute to analytic work that spans the broad spectrum of healthcare data projects at HSAG; leads components of innovative analytic plans that are intended to provide health care decision and policy makers with the necessary information to transform healthcare; design and implement various types of analytic studies including measure testing, national quality reporting, and other health services research projects; work with a wide array of data to facilitate data exploration, including the following data types: survey, case review, medical and prescription drug claims and encounters, eligibility, demographic, clinical, electronic health record, registry, vital statistics, and operational; lead small- to medium-sized analytic tasks or projects, while providing support to other analytic tasks or projects; understand primary types of healthcare data and methods for approaching data assessments; evaluate a wide array of data types; conduct and interpret analyses, develop appropriate statistical models, manipulate complex databases, and track and evaluate patterns of care and outcomes; utilize statistics and quantitative analysis; perform data validation, develop, and implement analytic plans, and cross reference data; utilize SAS, SQL and Tableau to manipulate data; attend participate and assist in team training meetings; present and communicate project results to non-analytic staff members and customers; and support analytic components of technical proposals
This position is 100% telecommute and can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or related quantitative field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four years of experience in data analysis in the healthcare industry or alternatively, a Master's degree and 1 year of experience as previously stated.
Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Base SAS/SAS Enterprise Guide software for statistical programming and analysis (discrimination, factor analysis, regression); relational databases (SQL, and Tableau); data visualizations, annual reports and quality improvement studies using Intellectual and developmental disabilities/(I/DD) data to improve quality improvement services; CDR databases (centralized data repository); ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS medical coding; Medicare/Medicaid data; use CMS Integrated Data Repository to analyze Medicare parts A, B, C and D data; HEDIS, CAPHS measure rates and Value Based Purchasing Performance Scores for consumer report cards for managed care organizations (MCO)
Must also possess: SAS certification
