BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Big Data Architect in Chicago, IL!

Position Title: Big Data Architect
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire
Hybrid: 3 days onsite and 2 day Remote

Skills & Responsibilities:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Fluency in architecture and design across all systems
* Knowledge in at least one area of technical architecture
* Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
* Experience in risk and risk control compliance
* Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
* 5-10+ years' experience with Expertise in modernizing software architecture using domain driven design (DDD), microservices patterns, APIs, event driven technologies, and cloud native principles
* 5-10+ years' experience with modern UI design, microservices, APIs, mobile apps, data solutions, big data technologies, application development frameworks, patterns, and tools
* Ability to communicate across communities and cross functional teams
* Ability to evaluate internal functions, technology, business development strategies, and business processes to identify improvements
