PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide technical support to the assigned production line on procedures of equipment as well as conformance established by the AAR.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all processes involved in the production of new units. This would include coordinating the procurement of new parts with our purchasing department, establishing min/max levels for parts, on time delivery of parts and ensuring that the parts meet our drawing standards.

• Ensure that WABTEC is adhering to all standards established by the AAR regarding new and reconditioned units.

• Coordinating machining of new and reconditioned parts at offsite facilities and local machining facilities. This responsibility would also require monitoring adherence to WABTEC drawing standards/quality requirements regarding these processes.

• Establish and monitor welding requirements for both new and reconditioned units as required in AWSD-15.1, if applicable.

• Oversee and coordinate both new drawings and drawing revisions for units. • Coordinate with management in the training of all positions associated with the assigned production line.

• Monitor customer consignment requirements/stocking levels, as well as current customer demand, as applicable.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• A combination of education and experience in production principals

• Three or more years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment

• Technical writing skills required for internal and external documentation. Communicate in a professional manner with customer, co-workers, and management

• Excellent verbal and written communication/language skills required to include the ability to provide written and verbal instructions, compile and present business reports/correspondence, and present information clearly.

• Ability to cooperate and interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Customer service and quality orientation.
