Innovative Crisis Response Model

Benchmark Human Services, a national leader in behavioral health and intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) services/systems design, is seeking Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to serve on a multi-disciplinary senior clinical team implementing an innovative community based crisis response project located in Little Rock, Arkansas, in partnership with Summit Community Care (Summit) a Provider-Led AR Shared Services Entity (PASSE). Position provides clinical leadership and implementation of behavior support strategies in crisis Level 1 interventions, training and technical assistance to provider members, families, behavior technicians and front line staff. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of the Crisis Support Team under Benchmark's Provider Focus project, serve as a BCBA lead on crisis Level 1 interventions. The Crisis Support Team will assist Summit provider members in supporting persons with IDD in crisis and at high risk for inpatient placement, involvement with law enforcement, potential harm to themselves or others, recidivism, or loss of residential/home placement due to severe behavioral, psychiatric or trauma related issues. Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to provide services, supports, care, and treatment to individuals as required, respond immediately when dispatched on crisis responses, and be present to provide assistance and consultation to provider agency staff. Must be experienced and competent in profession and maintain any applicable license, training, or and certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, social work or related field.
  • Minimum of 35 hours of training and education in behavior analysis and behavior supports.
  • At least two years of experience with behavior supports evaluation and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Trained in a recognized current best practice crisis de-escalation methodology
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be experienced and competent in profession and maintain any applicable license, training and/or certifications

Preferred:
  • Minimum of two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses who are in crisis
  • Working knowledge of the Arkansas DHS service system
  • Experience in developing behavior support plans and presenting them to Human Rights or other review committees
