Posting Summary:

This position provides senior leadership in facilities management with regards to operations and maintenance of assigned areas. Responsible for operating budget and developing three to five year outlook for equipment/systems replacement. Engage with Planning, Design and Construction (PD&C), campus partners, and internal PPD project engineering on capital projects. Provide value engineering input where appropriate on projects. Ensure UVM and organizational processes/procedures are communicated and followed. Establish and implement Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs. Effectively communicate a variety of subjects with campus partners and staff. Responsible for appropriate staffing and personnel management, professional development, mentorship, and evaluations. This position reports to an Assistant Director and requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer service experience.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

Bachelor's degree in engineering and two to five years of experience in facilities management at a supervisory or management level required. Knowledge of codes, regulations, standards, and related practices required. Proficiency with computer applications used in project management to include drafting and design required. Ability to interpret specifications and blueprints required. Effective verbal and written skills to communicate complex technical data required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain and driver's check required. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.

Special Conditions:

A probationary period may be required, Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, 40 hour work week

Hiring Min (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)):

Payband Max (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)):
