Job Description:


Champlain College is searching for a dynamic professional to serve as Operations Coordinator for two Centers of Experience: The Emergent Media Center and the Leahy Center. As a member of the Centers, the major role of this position is to improve and maintain the operational systems and provide high-level support to faculty, staff, and students. This position is open to hybrid work.


Responsibilities include overall finance and budget management, administrative operations, HR functions and hiring students, preparing statistical reports, and maintenance of contracts and records. Administrative operations include drafting/editing correspondence and communications materials, preparing financial requisitions and invoices, receiving visitors and providing tours, purchasing and tracking equipment and supplies, arranging and scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, event coordination, and handling information requests.




Requirements:


  • Adequate experience in an administrative position in a business environment required
  • Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing, and active listening
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Google Workspace, especially Docs, Spreadsheets, and Calendar
  • Minimum 2 years experience in coordinating operations

Experience a plus, but not required:


  • Oracle
  • Grant administration
