Job Description Summary
he Chemistry Library is seeking a motivated, energetic intern. This is an opportunity for a chemistry or library and information science student to jumpstart their career and learn about chemical information and the workings of a small departmental library, while also gaining insight into the workings of a large academic library system.
Job Description
The intern will learn about and participate in all aspects of chemistry librarianship, including providing support for collections budgeting and management, participating in Web-based outreach, providing general reference to the Penn Libraries via their chat and information desk, writing guides and documentation, and attending relevant library-wide meetings. Project work will support current library efforts, and will be tailored as closely as possible to the individual interests of the intern. The internship will be for 10-20 hours per week.
