Summary:
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to provide clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and ambulatory oncology patients. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is responsible for the medication management of oncology patients in both inpatient and ambulatory settings to ensure the safe and effective use of medications including intravenous and oral chemotherapy, chemotherapy order review, symptom management, therapeutic drug monitoring, and patient education. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist serves as a drug information resource to the medical team and is responsible for developing and implementing pharmacy programs along with various quality, safety, and cost savings initiatives. Responsibilities also include participation in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and treatment guidelines related to comprehensive pharmaceutical care. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is expected to participate in scholarly activities including clinical research studies and precepting both pharmacy students and PGY-2 pharmacy residents.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
Education and Experience
1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or
2. Master's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or
3. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.

NOTES:
1. Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency

PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency

Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist

Clinical Oncology pharmacy experience

Experience in practical and didactic training of Pharmacy Students and Residents
