Description

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work alongside our key technology client. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, be able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Interfacing with the client, other consultants and contracts, at all project stages.
  • Financial management - Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing financial system to monitor a project's financial status.
  • Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
  • Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
  • Managing the change control and project risk processes.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
  • Quality Control - Ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Reviewing bids and preparing recommendations for client approval.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
  • Identifying and ensuring that the team and the client are aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  • Focusing on safety and identifying opportunities to improve safey at all project stages.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
  • General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.
  • Traveling to construction sites for site visits, construction progress evaluation and communication with contractors.


Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading/managing utility and/or infrastracture projects
  • Experience providing leadership of a team in an integrated project delivery organization
  • Experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts
  • Track record of following through on commitments and action items
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering major capital projects successfully (on budget, on time, meeting safety and quality standards within approved scope)
  • Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communications
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in promoting safety culture

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum ten (10) years demonstrated experience in management on capital projects
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification, Program Management certification preferred


Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $95K-$185 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
