As a Controls Systems Engineer within the Harvesting Electronic Systems Team, you will have the opportunity to develop new and improve existing embedded system technologies on harvesting equipment. This role will develop control systems utilizing Model Based Design (MBD) tools and processes, while establishing yourself as a feedback controls Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the department.

• Develop vehicle embedded system designs and requirements to meet stakeholder needsPerform change impact analysis to determine feasibility.
• Develop/update software models from requirements using Model Based Design; verify design using simulation and physical testing.
• Oversee integration of designs to ensure they meet functional requirements
• Perform tuning as required to meet performance targets.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues found during vehicle testing.
• Perform root cause analysis on issues which may include controller software, hardware I/O, wire harnessing, and mechanical subsystems.
• Prepare technical documentation and data analysis.
• Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, Hazard and Risk Assessments.
• Collaborate to develop automated testing for assigned systems.

Position Pays $83,000 to $120,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Required:

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a technical-related engineering discipline and 3+ years' of professional experience designing and implementing feedback control systems or equivalent combination of degree and experience
• M.S. Degree in an engineering discipline with a focus on feedback control systems and 1+ year of professional experience designing and implementing feedback control systems
• 3+ years of experience with demonstrated knowledge of Model Based Design

Preferred:

• Experience with agricultural, automotive or construction vehicles.
• Experience using Mathworks® Simulink® and Stateflow®, and other relevant development design tools
• Experience with Electro-Hydraulic Control Systems
• Experience with control of drivetrain/power transfer systems
• Experience with CAN and/or LIN protocols and diagnostic tools
• Demonstrated technical leadership and organization skills
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Experience developing software using the C programming language
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal
