Core Java Developer / Java developer
BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Core Java developer for Wilmington, DE
Position Title: Core Java developer
Location: Wilmington, DE
Expected Duration: 6 Months Contract to Permanent
Hybrid Mode: 3 days onsite 2 days remote in a week
- Proficient in Core Java development skills as well as multiple design techniques
- Working proficiency in Core Java development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks
- Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
- Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software
Skills:
level 601, exp 3-6 yrsJava, Spring frameworks, API, Restful Microservice, Apache Kafka, CI/CDAWS, Cassandra, KubernetesJava, Spring frameworks, API, Restful Microservice, Apache KafkaNoSQL, Clod experience
Responsibilities:
- Ability to implement new applications utilizing leading edge technologies and modernize existing applications
- Collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals
- Experience in some of the modern programming languages/platforms, such as: Java, Spring frameworks, API, Restful Microservice, AWS or Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Cassandra, NoSQL is a plus
- Experience with some of the following development and build tools (or similar): IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, BitBucket/Git/Gitflow
- Experience with CI/CD, Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, Maven, a plus
- Knowledge of data driven functional testing using Cucumber Scripts, a plus
- Understanding of messaging (JMS/MQ/Kafka) based integration is preferred
- Work in Agile environments collaboratively, writing user stories, developing code, testing and performing peer code reviews
- Strong troubleshooting skills a must"
