Job Description
The Sarah Lawrence College Dance/Movement Therapy Program is seeking Guest Faculty to teach semester-long courses over the 2022-2023 academic year. Candidates interested in teaching one or more courses are encouraged to apply. Courses include Professional Orientation & Ethics, Clinical Treatment Planning, Anatomy & Kinesiology, Psychopathology and Group Work.

The Dance/Movement Therapy Program is committed to providing mentoring to support racial and cultural diversity within the program. We encourage candidates who may otherwise meet the professional qualifications but lack teaching experience to apply with an understanding that teaching support will be provided. Application materials must include a cover letter, CV, a brief statement about the role of social justice in the classroom, and names and contact information for three references.

A sample syllabus or outline of proposed course or one previously taught.

Review of applications will begin on July 1. Priority consideration will be given to people who apply by that date. The position will remain open until filled.



Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a master’s degree in dance/movement therapy or a related discipline and a minimum of one year of full-time clinical experience in dance/movement therapy or the part-time equivalent.

Requirements for Employment
Effective October 15, 2021, all employees of Sarah Lawrence College must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
