As a Data Governance & Management Consultant, you'll help deliver engaging and modern data solutions/strategies at one of the nation's top-rated consultancies. As a member of the Data & Analytics team, you will analyze, design, and lead data transformation efforts that will evolve our clients' data organizations and drive trust in data assets and products. We are looking for sharp, disciplined, and self-motivated individuals who have a passion for enabling a modern data culture.

What You'll Do

  • Work alongside a best-in-class team to conduct assessments, create data strategies, and evaluate/recommend data management technologies
  • Support and guide transformational programs focused on data management strategy and execution
  • Recommend data architecture designs and set implementation strategies for data management programs of various sizes and complexities
  • Establish implementation plans for data management solutions and governance programs
  • Recommend and establish data governance bodies and processes
  • Train/mentor clients in the development of data management roles and responsibilities (i.e. data stewards, data owners, executive data leadership)
  • Define or guide the definition of data standards and governance policies; build consensus for standards and policies
  • Identify/Organize data domains and conceptual data models; translate into physical representations
  • Mentor team members in data management, architecture, and governance
  • Interpret business goals and drivers; translate strategy into appropriate technical solution(s)
  • Provide technical direction and oversight to cloud/on-prem data management and governance system implementation team(s)

What You'll Bring
  • Data and analytics experience across architecture, governance, master data, metadata, and quality management
  • Familiarity with data management enabling technologies in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), data catalogs, and governance solutions (Collibra, Informatica, Alation, data.world, Atlas, OvalEdge)
  • Experience establishing data governance operating models, implementation standards, data security/privacy policies, developing data governance councils, and community development
  • Experience with a variety of enterprise data architecture frameworks and an understanding of processes and systems
  • Awareness of change management best practices to guide the cultural transformation required to adopt new data management practices
  • Strong consulting, analytical, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills
