This position develops a rolling 18 to 24-month unit and revenue demand forecast for assigned customers and highly seasonal product families incorporating account business intelligence, plan-o-gram reset strategies, new items, new item cannibalization, promotion plans, historical and current point of sale (POS) and shipment trends. The process of forecast development is collaborative, requiring strong leadership and partnership with other internal customers."title":"Primary Duties & Responsibilities","content":" As part of S&OP process, develop and gain buy-in from sales team business partners, an item level unit forecast and monthly consensus revenue forecast to include: New product forecasts, monitoring sell through and customer inventory levels of new items for assigned forecast customers Promotional forecasts based on the customer's purchasing strategy and ad plans Retailer strategy assumptions during each phase of seasonality (prebuild, replenishment, and ramp down) Facilitate monthly forecast collaboration meetings with sales team business partners. Prepare analysis to support position and recommendations in clear concise formats to facilitate agreement. Monitor and work to eliminate the gap between bottom up demand forecast and top down sales revenue forecast. Demand Sensing: Monitor shipment and POS demand data to determine patterns, trends, variability to include, but not limited to, deviations in demand due to weather, competitive situations and customer's inventory strategies. Analyze and report forecast results (consumption, accuracy, and root cause for error). Make forecast adjustments and take corrective action in forecast process to minimize error. Utilize knowledge of statistical forecasting techniques, including models such as time-series and linear regression, and executes forecasting processes that includes model calibration. Maintain customers' item attributes such as listing status, promotional status, store count, customer item numbers, pricing and include impact to forecasted volume appropriately. Create the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Forecast for assigned forecast customers Work as stakeholder on system development projects to include design and testing with supply chain and IT business partners Maintain statistical profiles for all accounts utilizing a narrowed down selection of best fit models."title":"Education and Experience Profile","content":" Bachelor's degree required in business or related field Strong CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) business and supply chain acumen Minimum 2 years of experience in Demand Planning or related field Proven results from strong analytical work"title":"Required Skills","content":" Effectively communicate and manage across functions at various levels Strong leadership skills - ability to build relationships with and influence peers to achieve desired business outcome Strong analytical and quantitative mindset to handle and interpret large amounts of data Statistical model experience preferred SAP/APO/IBP experience preferred"title":"Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
