Job Summary: The Deputy Director of Athletics is responsible for all internal operations of one or more assigned units within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Additional Department Summary: The Deputy Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator is responsible for the oversight of several administrative areas for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics as well as assisting with evaluating and developing University's position on proposed NCAA and SEC legislation. This position will serve as a Sport Oversight providing leadership and budget management for assigned sports. Serves on the Executive Staff Leadership Team, providing advice and counsel to the Director of Athletics on matters and special projects affecting the Athletics Department.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and twelve (12) years of experience; OR Master's degree and ten (10) years of experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of NCAA and SEC regulations. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies; ability to manage time efficiently to effectively perform multiple tasks; ability to work independently; knowledge of personal computers and standard software programs to include database skills and word processing skills. Ability to work well with others. Ability to prioritize, delegate, and monitor all steps of the work process.
