The Transportation Business Unit provides a strategic focus for key markets and customers within the Transportation industry to drive revenue growth. This Offering Management Leader is responsible for all aspects of the Production Test slice within the broader Transportation market. Through the direct and indirect oversight of teams, offering managers penetrate and expand NI's serviceable addressable market (SAM) by building and prioritizing business cases for new Production Test offerings (combination of hardware, software, services, and partner solutions) and working with customers, global R&D teams, and technology partners to develop complete solutions that deliver differentiated value to NI customers.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor key market trends and investment within the Production Test slice of the Transportation industry. Some of the trends could be around electrification, autonomous and connected vehicles.

  • Owns the complete offerings in the market and is accountable to deliver final results and updates

  • Understand all aspects of the Transportation Product Test slice of the market, including total addressable market (TAM) and serviceable addressable market (SAM) analysis (5-7 years outlooks)

  • Develop an end-to-end business plan for offerings(s) and drive cross-functional teams through execution

  • Build key external customer relationships and be an internal customer advocate to drive key decisions

  • Grow and develop offering management team through effective hiring, development, and engagement

  • Provide BU-level deliverables such as higher-level strategies, business updates, process and planning docs, and other delegated tasks from the GM


  • Key Performance indicators include:

  • Define clear strategic investment priorities

  • Achieve strong profitable growth

  • Build a customer-focused culture

  • Consistently recruits and retains top talent


  • Qualifications

    Strong viable candidates will meet the following qualifications:

  • 15+ years of working experience in product management, program management, and/or Global Sales


  • Deep understanding of the Transportation industry, including working with Tier 1 suppliers/customers


  • Experience in a global or multinational technology company with automotive offerings


  • Deep understanding of Transportation's customer's execution drivers (flow, timelines, challenges)


  • Proven ability to develop business cases and effectively lead cross-functional teams to execution


  • Proven ability to influence internally/externally (including market perceptions & cross-functional alignment)


  • Demonstrated P/L responsibility, or comparable business experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engr, Computer Science, or other tech-related field required


  • MBA or master's degree in tech-related field preferred
