Meet the team:

The Director of Contract Manufacturing will lead the Global Direct Materials Contract Manufacturing category. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing multiple types of supplier relationships, and have a deep understanding of procurement, engineering, and manufacturing processes, preferably from having worked in these functions. The role is for an experienced transformational leader who understands the intricacies across the spectrum of supply chain activities, from sourcing to manufacturing to on-market supplier management. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with R&D to ensure strategic supplier engagement in upfront product design and development activities. Financial know-how, negotiation and collaboration skills are a must.

Where you come in:

  • You will lead the global direct materials contract manufacturing team which are responsible for key component category strategy, supplier selection, and supplier management. Responsible for $800M in spend by 2025. Team size of 3-6 procurement professionals. Category areas include contract manufacturing, Tier 2 electronics & mechanical categories
  • You will effectively manage global suppliers in multiple regions, delivering on scale benefits, cost savings, quality and manufacturing performance. Establish supplier targets and execution to those targets. Negotiate effective contracts and agreements.
  • You will create a culture of procurement excellence using fact based negotiations, BIC negotiation techniques balancing capacity, cost, quality and delivery goals.
  • You will create and implement standardized sourcing processes including category strategies, requirements definition, RFQ templates, and sourcing recommendation. Develop and drive material cost savings projects in collaboration with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality.
  • You will manage to budgets, develop and track material costs for input into financial standards. Drive year-over-year savings
  • You will negotiate complex global contracts that leverage our growth in volumes, geographies, and risk profile.
  • Develop strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure best supplier talent, access to technology, quality, and cost.
  • You will manage team members development, employee experience in hybrid environment. Must have emotional intelligence skills to manage both US and non-US teams and culture.
  • You will develop and Implement programs that Increase supplier diversity spend & sustainability goals

Travel Required:
  • 25 to 50%

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 15+ years of industry experience.
  • 9+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry.
