General Summary

Granite Construction Company has an opening for an Engineer IV at 701 E. Main Street, Lewisville, TX 75057. 40 hrs/wk; 9am - 5pm; M-F.

Responsibilities:Planning, developing, coordinating and managing onsite construction engineering activities for construction projects in excess of $50 million to ensure quality and cost effectiveness; managing job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing; supervising, directing, and mentoring project staff to ensure individual development and that project standards are met and work is completed on time and under budget; developing and maintaining project schedule to ensure work is completed on time and under budget utilizing Primavera; conduct client meetings, and responsible for getting requests and permits approval from the client; responsible for the C.R.I.S (Crash reports Identification system) to help getting police incidents reports if any incident occurred inside the work zone; covering the Transportation Manager Position, responsible for the Traffic Control plan (TCP) and Lane Closure Requests (LCR) designs and submittals; providing technical support in construction planning, quality control, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews to ensure successful job completion utilizing AGTEK and Bluebeam; developing, implementing and administering project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents to ensure clarification of roles; representing company, project and/or department during client and project management meetings to ensure effective communication; developing and maintaining all job reporting and logs to ensure project compliance; covering the Maintenance Manager position, Designing and Conduction Maintenance Management Plan; and responsible for all the Project Finishing Items such as ( Striping/ Signs /Delineators).

Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or foreign degree equivalent, plus 5 years of post-bachelor progressively responsible experiencein heavy civil engineering field in engineering positions and/or project manager and/or site manager positions; or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or foreign degree equivalent, plus 3 years of experiencein heavy civil engineering field in engineering positions and/or project manager and/or site manager positions. Experience must include: field support; working with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AGTEK Take-off and Primavera Scheduling software; construction engineering technology; and working with cross functional teams. Experience may be obtained concurrently.

Base Salary Range:
$96,850.00 - $145,275.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
