STARTING PAY $21.00/Hour + $2.00 Shift Differential when working 2nd shift.

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Packages finished goods following proper packaging standards and procedures
• Exhibits ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Unitizes, check counts and verifies length
• Ensures production areas are completed stocked with required material
• Performs in a fast-paced production environment
• Displays ability to understand manufacturing procedures
• Lifts heavy objects by hand and cleans work area, machines and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds to assist machine operators
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor

• Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.
• Wears and maintains all required PPE.
• Keeps all assigned work areas clean at all times.
• Understands all safety devices and their operation.
• Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation.
• Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications.

• Basic Mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.
• Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment.

• Manufacturing facility - exposed to heat and cold.
• Personal Protective Equipment always required.
• Controlled Noise exposure.
• Activity level high - continuous overhead crane and forklift movement.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work any shift within a 24-hour period
• Mechanically inclined
• Problem Solver
• Team Oriented

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• The Military Equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience

• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Standing 8 or more hours per day
• Walking - Off and on, 4-6 hours per day
• Body Positions - Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms
• Grasping - Both hands, up to 8-hours per day
• Sitting - None
• Pushing Effort - Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50lbs
• Pulling - Tools and finished product, up to 50lbs
• Climbing - ladders/stairs, occasionally
