KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ten or more years in the service of fire/life safety systems.
Strong customer service communication and conflict resolution skills.
Experience in the inspection of fire/life safety systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to expand skill set into other fire/life safety systems.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Knowledge of life safety codes.
Technical certifications are required (NICET Level 3 or Level 4 or equivalent CSA FA4)
Technical certifications are preferred (Backflow repair, Kitchen Hoods KHFE2, Fire Sprinkler ASCR4/ASC4
, Fire Pump Factory Repair)
Equipment manufacturer's training and/or certifications are desirable.
Computer / tablet literacy.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/ MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position includes primarily field time. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 40 pounds. Extensive use of a personal computer and tablet is required. Use of hand and power tools is required on occasion.
