Graphic Designer I

Position Purpose

Responsible for graphic design elements for internal and external Hendrickson Truck Aftermarket communications.

Essential Functions

• Work with team to maintain content of graphic projects for technical or marketing documentation (digital and printed).
• Develop and design layouts for technical or marketing documentation using electronic publishing techniques including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
• Prepare and modify graphic elements for use in desktop publishing and comply design layouts to graphic guidelines. Working with a wide range of media, including photography, vector illustrations and convert or modify to digital standards suitable for publishing in electronic media or commercial printing.
• Work with other department personnel as required handling projects as assigned.
• Provide support and assistance for any other function deemed necessary for the organization and customer assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Training

• Associates degree in graphic design. Bachelor's degree in graphic design with marketing communications preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 or more years' experience and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat), and Microsoft Office.
• Possess expert understanding of branding, typography and experience building files for both print and digital.
• Experience and knowledge of both commercial printing and multimedia publishing.
• Ability to convert technical information into marketing communications information.
• Experience in the production of product catalogs a plus.
• Photography experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is a plus.
