Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Recruiter will be responsible for partnering with the hiring managers to assess recruiting needs through out the organization. Recruiting, interviewing, and placing the best talent available for openings at Dayton Superior Corporation. The Human Recruiter will work with Human Resources and hiring managers to prepare job descriptions, write advertisements and post jobs, represent the company, seek job candidates, screen, and interview candidates, and assist with job offers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conducts recruitment efforts for exempt, nonexempt, hourly and temporary employees.

  • Assists human resources and hiring managers in preparing pre-employment forms such as requisitions, job descriptions and obtaining necessary approvals.

  • Prepares and posts job openings through our Applicant Tracking Systems and other job posting sites.

  • Ensures integrity of the Applicant Tracking System through appropriate maintenance of questionnaires, job descriptions, letters, forms, requisitions and applicant dispositions.

  • Prepares and utilizes reporting functions in Applicant Tracking System so that useful data can be shared with human resources and management team.

  • Ensures that recruitment efforts fully comply with all company recruiting initiatives including all Affirmative Action Plans and associated agreements and documents.

  • Screens resumes to identify qualified candidates.

  • Presents qualified candidates to hiring managers and follows through to ensure that candidates' resumes are reviewed in a timely fashion.

  • Prepares offer letters that accurately reflect all elements of the employment offer and assists the hiring manager in making the offer.

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Maintain relationship with temporary personnel organizations.

  • Works with the Dayton Foundation to coordinate information to employees for the Dayton Scholarship program.

  • Assists with other tasks, as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent computer skills, especially spreadsheets and databases.

  • Demonstrated maturity in dealing with different levels of employees and candidates in a fast-paced environment and the ability to maintain confidentiality of all employee data.

  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.



EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE:

Strong recruiting experience and 3+ years as an HR Generalist. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, set priorities, organize, implement, and administer effectively in all areas of accountability.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of equal employment opportunity laws, ADA and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment.

  • Communicate effectively with management and employees verbally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of the company's policies, practices, and union agreements.

  • Maintain high level of confidentiality.

  • Travel maybe required.

  • Knowledge of all Federal and State laws and regulations as they pertain to Human Resources.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk.

  • Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.
