Full Rate for Grinder Position: $21.10/hr

Currently Offering New Hire Bonuses of $150 every 2 weeks for first 8 weeks of employment.

Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for the safe operation and operating functions of the grinder.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Capable of running the grinder machines and all operation functions safely and efficiently.

• Accurate, legible and timely completion of all production reports
• Excellent at workmanship on the grinder and able to troubleshoot as required.
• Verifies quality requirements are met by inspecting and comparing to specifications
• Required to test via measurement on slide rule to 1/64th; ruler and with calipers.
• Fulfills quality requirements for adherence, set up to specifications, inspection and QAM
• Certified to drive forklift truck
• Capable of understanding overall shop order layout, interprets requirements and ensures order meets the customer specifications
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of general plant practices, floor layout and procedures

• Capable of using a slide rule and ruler, calipers, reading to the 1/64th measure

• Understands quality requirements, QAM
• Possesses good communication skills
• Adheres to all safety regulations and practices and established company policies
• Has the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills immediately

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the following requirements must be met:

Education/Experience

High School graduate, or general education degree (GED), or two years of related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Language

Ability to read and interpret, quality requirements for compliance, production schedules, measurements, shipping and receiving reports, tagging. Able to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to think quickly and react to situations under time restraints. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with accuracy and thoroughness. Able to identify problems and resolve efficiently.
