Our Client is seeking a Infrastructure Architect in Alpharetta, GA.

Role Description

An Infrastructure Architect aligns with and supports the technologies, services and devices used for Technology infrastructure and works as a member of our growing first-class architecture practice. The role balances support between technical initiatives targeting or involving all aspects of infrastructure; and leadership needs working with Technology and Architecture leadership as well as business stakeholders to achieve business outcome-driven results for the company. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining infrastructure and related strategies; assessing and promoting the advancement of the maturity of the company's infrastructure stack; supporting life cycle and modernization efforts; and architecting infrastructure solutions to provide practical value through increased revenue, cost reduction, improved safety or risk reduction. This position is a critical member of the Architecture Team working collaboratively across Technology and Business Units to enable CPC business functions through technology. Conducts daily work in compliance with our safety policies and procedures. Demonstrates RAISE Values in completing work assignments

• Work with the Director of Architecture, the Enterprise Architect, and your peer architects on specific initiatives designed to advance the maturity of the company's architecture practice.
• Help build the efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture practice by developing and maintaining a repository of infrastructure business cases, designs, best practices, standards, patterns, principles, processes, and procedures that provide specific guidance to the practice or generalized guidance to the broader our technology community.
• Be the architecture expert for infrastructure-related solutions in the architecture practice and be the liaison to interact with functional groups, leadership, and the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
• Lead the formulation of current and future infrastructure strategies in partnership with the Director of Architecture and Enterprise Architect.
• Steward the execution of infrastructure strategies through the application of analytical and critical thinking to drive results and solve tangible problems.
• Assess the Company's current and desired infrastructure maturity state and develop strategies, plans, and roadmaps to promote the advancement of that maturity state.
• Research emerging technologies and trends and provide specific recommendations along with the rationale behind those recommendations.
• Support life cycle management and modernization programs through partnership with responsible life cycle management, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
• Propose, support, and/or execute specific projects, initiatives, and innovation efforts (including pilots or PoCs) to produce recognizable value and desired business outcomes.
• Participate in architecture governance activities as a voting member of the ARB, to advance the company's Enterprise Architecture goals and objectives.
• Function as the lead architect on initiatives or committees assigned by the ARB, collaborating with functional teams and your peer architects, to develop the architectures necessary to advance initiatives, propose solutions, and secure the broader approval of the ARB.
• Establish and engage in strong, meaningful, and collaborative relationships with technology peers, business stakeholders, and external partners to achieve the company's cloud-oriented goals.
• Participate in appropriate "hands on" activities to both contribute to successful execution and to maintain technical skills that support your cloud skillset.
• Reduce risk by tracking and becoming the champion for resolving infrastructure technical debt.
• Partner with Technology Life Cycle Management, Service Management, and fellow architects to maintain infrastructure architecture documentation, enterprise portfolio data, the enterprise blueprint, and the ITSM CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
• Develop and maintain relevant metrics that demonstrate success and validate results.
• Maintain awareness of company and government safety and security regulations and policies, fostering a high regard for the safety of company employees and assets, the public, and the environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• All employees may be assigned or otherwise required to support the business in its emergency response efforts, including but not limited to training, short-term travel and backfill duties.

Skills & Requirements

• Seven (7) or more years of experience in an infrastructure technology role, with additional experience architecting infrastructure solutions, end to end.
• Bachelor's degree in related field of study, preferably Computer Science, from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
• Excellent time management, documentation, communication, and written skills.
• Understand architectural tradeoffs and communicate and present architectural decisions to all partners.
• Demonstrate infrastructure competency across multiple technologies including but not limited to routing, firewalls, network topologies, virtualization, server, computing, storage, cloud, etc.
• Ability to translate and distill complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand solutions and constructs for a variety of executive, business, and partner audiences.
• Strong relationship-building skills, fostering an ability to influence without authority.
• Understanding of financial concepts to support budgeting, cost benefit analysis, and business case development.
• Curiosity, a love of continual learning, and a fearless approach to asking questions. Recognition and respect for the knowledge and potential contributions from everyone up and down the organization.
