Main purpose of the position:

Operate and maintain the Network environment: Maintain, Monitor, Repair the hardware and software that comprises our company network, ensuring optimal setup for daily incident handling in all network related areas.

Key Responsibilities:

This position provides Network support & services for GN systems across corporate and branded locations such as: Jabra, BlueParrott, ReSound, Beltone, Interton, Lively, FalCom in more than 50 countries.

Key Areas are:

  • Maintain the operations environment within the network areas.
  • Monitoring the health status of the network environment and response to alerts timely.
  • Actively suggest improvements and contribute to the development of the relevant operational area(s)
  • Troubleshooting on network connectivity and performance issues as per tracked issues
  • Participates in assignments from the IT infrastructure projects, with focus on the GN locations in AMER region.
  • Planning of group and own tasks / execution of own tasks
  • Develop and keep documentation updated
  • Reports on network infrastructure status
  • Technical Support Categories include:
  • LAN/WAN technology
  • NGTP Firewall (Experience on Check Point firewall is preferred) and Cyber Security
  • Network layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing
  • WIFI and access points
  • Network load balance
  • General network monitoring
  • SD-WAN (General knowledge)
  • Multi-Cloud Networking Architecture (General knowledge) Aviatrix
  • Microsoft Windows Server & Linux operating systems (General knowledge)
  • Active Directory (General knowledge)
  • Create & maintain instructional guides, how to resolve issues, for end users & peers
  • Adhere to GN best practices and processes to deliver support and services across infrastructure and business application layers
  • Provide assistance and local or regional coordination during the implementation of changes and projects. "Local Implementation Project Manager"
  • Assists with identifying and routing business requests, Project, or Changes, to the proper channels & teams. "Operational level of BRM"

Criteria of success:
  • Services of responsible consistently meet defined SLAs.
  • Assigned tickets are resolved in time and with high quality
  • Changes and project tasks are delivered on time, and without impacting availability / uptime of the production environment.
  • Customer running survey on par with GN IT average
  • Teamwork and have good collaborations with global colleagues in other time zones. No negative feedbacks from stakeholders.
  • Compliance with the GN ITSM & Security process and guidelines.
  • Documentations are consistently kept up to date

GN IT, GN Business Users, External technical vendors, Global ISP.

Professional skills

(requirements):
  • 4+ years' experiences specialized in network and security area.
  • 3+ years working experience in Multinational Corporation is preferred
  • Certifications: Cisco CCNP or preferably CCNA, AZ-700, AZ-900, AZ-104
  • Familiarity with enterprise change and incident management processes and experience with ITSM system (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Ability to work independently and highly self-motivated.
  • Strong customer orientation and focus.
  • Strong analytic and communication skills.
  • Strong drive for performance with a proactive approach.
  • Cross-culture awareness
  • Flexibility and a keen interest in having systems up and running
  • Ability to handle highly confidential situations
  • Strong English skills in speaking, writing, understanding, and reading.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs

Location and Geographical span of Job:

Onsite at Bloomington MN as part of a global IT organization collaborating with colleagues onsite and across regions (APAC, EMEA, AMER)

Schedule

Typically, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
