Job Description
Our client is seeking an IT Field Technician for its corporate operations based in Lenexa, KS. The duties of this position include:
Remote and onsite technical support of hardware and software consisting primarily of ticket escalations from Tier 1 team
Remote and onsite project work
System Administration including Windows Server and other platforms
Technical equipment ordering
On Call after hours coverage on a rotating schedule
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Thorough documentation of tickets and work completed
Windows OS image deployment and data migration
Ability to follow published procedures during routine tasks
Requirements
Understanding of routing, switching, and basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, Ports, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN, etc.
Understanding of Active Directory and basic administration experience
Experience building/deploying Windows OS and associated data migrations
Excellent understanding of structured cabling and equipment racking practices (must be able to lift equipment up to 75 lbs)
Excellent written communication and documentation skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to self-start/direct with limited oversight
Shoretel/Mitel phone system experience a plus
Experience with Office 365 Applications a plus
Experience providing phone/remote support a plus
System Administration experience a plus
