Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Support for start-up of a pilot-plant scale development lab, renovated from a pilot-scale sterile Drug Product facility
  • Pilot-scale sterile processing equipment operation
  • Interface with Maintenance groups to ensure equipment is maintained for use
  • Perform duties as equipment experts to support capital project upgrades
  • Preparation of sterile components (single-use assemblies, vials/stoppers and process train equipment) for use in development studies
  • Lab inventory management
  • Formulation and filling of biologic, vaccine, and largemolecule pharmaceutical products
  • Execution of process development studies in a safe and efficient manner
  • Make conclusions/recommendations based on sound review of data or scientific literature
  • Documentation management for multiple programs.
  • Scientific report writing and Second Person Review of laboratory notebooks and reports
  • Organizing scientific reports, tagging documents, and uploading to data management systems

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:
  • Experience with operation and maintenance of pilot-scale pharmaceutical processing equipment
  • Ability to manage laboratory inventory for experimental execution and facility/equipment maintenance
  • Strong scientific, computer, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and collaboration skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Knowledgeable of GMPs as applied to manufacturing of biologics and vaccines
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering, biomedical engineering, chemistry, biology, or related field
  • Previous liquid formulation experience, including aseptic technique skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
