Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical

• Preventive and unscheduled maintenance on motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems and production machinery.
  
• Respond to floor calls - enter and complete work orders.
  
• Assemble, install, and repair apparatus and equipment.
  
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  
• Attend all safety training supplied by employer.
  

Electrical

• Diagnose and repair electrical controls, industrial motor control centers and programmable logic controllers.
  
• Install, monitor and maintain various types of motors, drives, PLC's, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and transformers.
  
• Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions.
  
• Install, repair, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  
• Communicate with maintenance supervisor to determine operational problems and efficiency of electrical control systems.
  
• Performs inspections of electrical components and distribution controls.
  
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM's) on all systems, mechanical or electrical mechanical.
  
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  
• Attends all safety training supplied by the employer.
  

Education and Experience

• Typically possess 2-3 years experience for Mechanical, 5-7 years for Electrical related experience or combination of training and experience.
  

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in troubleshooting, installation and maintaining mechanical systems, control circuits, motors, motor control circuits and other electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  
• Ability to read and understand commercial/electrical blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  
• Electrical - apply the NEC through the full range of commercial and industrial maintenance.
  
• Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment toinstall, repair, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliance.
  
• Electrical - competency in all phases of AC, DC, Allen Bradley PLC 5 & SLC 500, Siemens and Servo systems.
