ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversees the department material needs and ensuring that adequate supplies are available when needed.
  • Schedule and supervise staff for the machine shop and building maintenance employees (janitors).
  • Fill in for labor pool and mobile maintenance supervisors.
  • Assists with various projects as assigned by specific departments or Superintendents.
  • Provides troubleshooting assistance and/or repair as needed.
 

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess strong process, system and organizational skills.
  • Must possess the ability to apply problem solving skills for conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of materials and equipment applicable to the position.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in schedule to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency with computer software programs such as standard Microsoft Office applications, EAM and planning/scheduling software.
  • Compliance with all safety guidelines including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing at all times.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree or technical certification in related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the maintenance/mechanical area of a manufacturing plant.
  • Experienced in developing and/or performing in a maintenance structure designed for high reliability through defined standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and achieve desired results.
  • Experienced with RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FMEA (Failure Mode Analysis).
  • General electrical license/millwright certification preferred.
