How you will make contributions that matter...

  • Evaluate, analyze and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the technical equipment, procedures and processes at Saputo Cheese USA's dairy manufacturing facilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor improved programs and processes, including raw material utilization, ingredient recoups, storage operations and product quality
  • Work closely with Saputo Cheese USA's Management Team and professional engineers to coordinate the programs and processes at the Company's various plants, and to build strong working relationships among the plants
  • Direct and coordinate the technical elements of product development activities
  • Conduct laboratory, pilot and production trials within Saputo USA plants, using natural cheese manufacturing/processing equipment
  • Keep detailed records of research, observations, analyses, recommendations, modifications, and outcomes at the facility (requires knowledge of Least Cost Formulator, SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Remain current on new technologies within the Dairy Industry and recommend and commission new plant equipment and technologies
  • Technical support to Sales, Customers, Quality, Operations and Sourcing as needed
You are best suited for the role if you...
  • Bachelor's degree in dairy science, dairy technology or closely related field
  • 3+ years of experience planning, implementing, monitoring and testing food production techniques, including food safety programs, in a dairy manufacturing plant
  • Periodic travel (approximately 30 days per year) to other Saputo facilities
  • Ideally the successful candidate should have some project management experience, good people skills and presentation skills
  • Strength in statistics, six sigma or similar would be a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to do sensory evaluation of dairy products
