Position Summary:

Responsible for manufacturing at acceptably efficient levels, meeting production schedules, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, maintaining employee morale and discipline, and keeping overtime at a minimum.

Specific Requirements:

1. Assigns employees to specific work stations and tasks, utilizing them in the most effective manner, assuring schedules are met with a minimum of overtime and within engineering standards.

2. Maintains orderliness and discipline in a uniform and consistent fashion in accordance with manufacturing and company policies.

3. Enforces safety regulations, investigates accidents, completes accident reports and eliminates potential and actual safety hazards.

4. Maintains production facilities in a neat, clean and orderly manner.

5. Supervises general housekeeping efforts.

6. Reports outages/shortages to Plant Manager or Buyer.

7. On 3rd shift, assures the 1st shift is properly supplied with supplies and that materials are in sufficient quantities on the production floor to assure a smooth startup.

8. Reviews and approves time card hours.

9. Uses computer systems to effect required production operations.

10. Maintains a complete understanding of tank storage systems, operation of valves and alarms so as to spearhead emergency action in the event of spills or other similar disasters.

11. Communicates improper equipment operation or downtime to maintenance.

12. Performs training and review of production personnel.

13. Manage inventory control process and conduct routine cycle counts as required to maintain standard inventory accuracies established by Manufacturing Manager.

14. Ensure safe and efficient production, reclamation, and waste disposal process. Use of 5S or similar methods will be useful in facilitating this priority.

15. Assists in Hazardous Waste handling when needed.

Background Requirements:

1. B.S. Degree in Science or Business preferred - High School Diploma required.

2. One-two year's direct supervisory experience.
