OB/GYN Physician

The practice breakdown is approximately 50% GYN-50% OB. However, new physician will be able to create the mix he/she desires. Physician will be able to do subspecialty cases-- a ton of maternal/fetal medicine (high risk OB), some reproductive endocrinology, some GYN oncology, and some urogynecology--things that OB/GYN generalists just do not get to do in big cities anymore, but with really congenial backup from the subspecialists within a few hours when we need them. There is also the benefit of really knowing your patients- The physicians know all of our patients' hubbies' names, the names of their other kids, their social situation...important things that you never know as a hospitalist or part of a big group.

In terms of surgeries, we have the capability to do fairly advanced laparoscopy- laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomies; lots of vaginal surgery- hysterectomy, cystocele and rectocele repair, and occasional routine abdominal hysterectomy. There is the opportunity to do urogynecology as well. We are currently performing Urodynamics studies, and sacral neuromodulation. We do not do office hysteroscopy or Essure but do have an operative hysteroscope and resectoscope in the OR. We can do LEEPs, colposcopy, routine endometrial biopsies, dating ultrasounds in the office setting.

The position has a guaranteed salary for the first two years with subsequent generous productivity-based compensation. The physician may move to production as soon as desired. Benefits include a six-week allowance for sick/vacation paid time off; $5,000 CME annual allowance, malpractice insurance paid by the organization; health/dental insurance; life/disability insurance available and a paid relocation allowance.
