Job Description

• Retrieve tissue from legally consented donors using appropriate procedures as defined by the FLEB policy and procedure manual.
  
• Obtain accurate donor medical information and complete all documentation required for donor records.
  
• Review cases available for corneal removal at local ME office. Read and screen medical charts, speak to investigators, medical examiners, and law enforcement to carefully determine medical suitability of potential donors.
  
• Process and package blood for serology testing. Receive results and file in donor record..
  
• Ship tissue to Eye Bank laboratory per appropriate procedure.
