The Physician Recruiter is responsible for the full cycle recruitment process for all physician positions at the University of Miami Health System (UHealth), including, but not limited to, advertising opportunities, sourcing, pre-screening candidates, facilitating and/or scheduling on-site visits or virtual interviews, contract negotiations, and keeping up to date on current physician recruitment strategies and best practices. The Physician Recruiter focuses on an exceptional customer experience and serves as a driver of positive business outcomes through best in class recruiting strategies and execution. The Physician Recruiter is a strategic advisor to our internal customers and advises and collaborates with leadership, clinical departments, internal business units, and external recruitment partners, overseeing physician and provider recruitment and onboarding activities.

1.) Coordinates recruitment activities with departments, which includes advertising recommendation/placement, alternative candidate sourcing methods (i.e., social media and various physician databases, etc.), resident recruitment and educational events, national and regional association conference exhibitions, promotional materials, etc.

2.)Nurtures long standing candidate relationships to ensure a meaningful recruitment experience from start to finish and may serve as the primary negotiator and closer with select candidates.

3.)Networks and builds a talent pipeline with the highest skilled and credentialed professionals to be assessed and reviewed by executive leadership.

4.)Pre-screens candidates for behavioral and cultural fit through emails, phone calls, text messages, virtual meetings, in-person meetings, and databases.

5.)Distributes CV's, candidate summaries, and references to leadership and departmental recruitment partners.

6.)Develops, oversees, and maintains applicant tracking system process which may include physician profiles, training programs, contact information, and candidate acquisition methodologies. 7.)Maintains effective working knowledge of the health system and regional communities to assist with candidate inquiries.

8.)Negotiates, finalizes, and extends employment offers in collaboration with departments and in accordance with policies and procedures.

9.)Assists with coordination of onboarding activities and ensures pre-employment requirements are met upon candidate acceptance.

10.)Collaborates with leadership to ensure department resources are continually updated including forms, websites, and other materials.

11.)Seeks out new ideas and best practices in physician recruitment and onboarding and supports leadership in the implementation of new recruitment initiatives.

12.)Completes assignments for leadership which require collecting, organizing, and analyzing data and producing reports which may be the basis of significant decisions by senior leaders.

13.)Exemplifies excellent customer service and communication in interactions with physicians and staff, as well as demonstrates critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

14.)Maintains up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines and files all documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.

15.)Assists with advanced practice provider recruitment when needed.

16.)Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources, Communications/Marketing or related field

Certification and Licensing:
  • Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional Certification (CPRP) preferred
  • Experience with Workday strong plus

Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experienc
  • Experience working directly with physicians is preferred
