ZS' Health Plan and Provider (HPP) Industry Vertical helps companies across a wide range of consulting and technology services such as: Go to Market, Customer/member engagement, Provider Network Management, Value Based Contracting, Data Management and Integrated Analytics. We deliver innovative solutions which help our client improve member/patient experience and overall health, achieve higher revenues, and increase efficiency.

PRINCIPAL - Health Plans - Business Consulting - New York, Philadelphia, Boston or Princeton

ZS is expanding its Health Plan and Provider (HPP) practice, for which we seek a Business Consulting Principal (Partner) who combines the vision and creativity to help build a practice area, along with the ability to lead a fast-growing group and bring to scale. The leader in this role will be responsible for building the Health Plan practice by generating new business opportunities, building long-term trusted advisory relationships with key stakeholders in health plans, delivering client solutions and devloping relevant general offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Join the Health Plan and Provider (HPP) senior leadership team and help refine and evolve its strategy
  • Lead prospecting and business development within key Health Plans
  • Lead dedicated, cross-functional teams to deliver high quality engagements within timeline and budget
  • Collaborate closely with other ZS team members to drive overall practice growth
  • Develop and refine consulting offerings for Health Plans
  • Market our Health Plan practice to increase awareness of ZS capabilities
  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business and new developments in advisory services
  • Contribute to intellectual capital within the practice and different ZS communities
  • Build internal connections with functional practice areas to leverage existing offerings, and represent health plan practice needs
  • Effectively recruit, lead, and motivate team members with diverse skills
  • Play an active role in building the practice, its talent pool, growing and mentoring team members
  • Participate in relevant conferences / speaker events to represent ZS' Health Plan offerings
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Life Sciences, Health Care Management, or equivalent
  • MBA or Advanced Degree is highly desirable
  • 10+ years' experience in management consulting or leadership roles within health plans
  • Deep Health Plan industry sector knowledge, with the ability to quickly assimilate new trends / findings
  • Developed network of relationships with Health Plan executives
  • Demonstrated experience of developing new prospects, driving revenue, and delivering high quality projects and services within budget
  • Persistent nature necessary to lead client business development efforts with a new client base
  • Executive level presence and communication skills
  • Forward thinker and self-starter who thrives on new challenges, imagines solutions, and adapts quickly
  • Ability to collaborate with and lead virtual teams of consulting professionals across multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs
