Description: Our client is currently seeking a Production Pharmacist

Work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc)? 8:30am-5pm Mon-Fri
Position background
CA licensed pharmacist with previous experience in hospital setting desirable.
What does this position accomplish for the business? Provides coverage for a pharmacist on leave. Please describe the team the candidate will be working with (number of team members break-down of the teams skill sets team culture etc.).
The candidate will work closely with 2 sterile compounding technicians and 1 prep-room technician as well as 4 warehouse technicians.
Also, the candidate will collaborate with other dispensing Rphs and technicians throughout the day.
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)?
1. Work as a "production pharmacist" reviewing sterile compound work order for accuracy and completeness prior to compounding per policy.
2 Perform final quality check of all compounded products
3. Supervise compounding technician in the sterile complex per policy
4. Perform final check of all products pulled and ready to ship in the warehouse
5. Assist warehouse technicians to maintain and control pharmacy inventory What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)?
An ideal candidate would have min of 1yr experience in hospital setting, familiar with IV therapies (abt, TPN, biologics), and sterile compounding practice. What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)? Min of 1yr experience with IV therapies, familiar with USP ?797? and sterile compounding.
What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)? Detail oriented, good time management skills, goal and team oriented.
Does this position require a professional license or certification? If so please list. License to practice in CA is must. additional NV license is desirable.
What are the work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc.)? 8:30am-5pm Mon - Friday. Occasional on-call coverage may be required.
