Essential Functions:

  • Translate customer requirements (PO's; MRP; forecast; etc.) into raw materials, production orders, and machine needs and process changes to comply with customer needs.
  • Expedite processing/order planning and production in accordance with internal rules and procedures and established work center planned sequence when customers encounter unanticipated stock outs
  • Commit ship dates and schedule shipments of finished goods to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Manage inventories.
  • Schedule production equipment in a manner that supports manufacturing goals to maximize throughput and utilization while minimizing scrap.
  • Plan production orders in sufficient detail to communicate all information required to generate raw material requirements, cylinder and ink requirements, tickets, produce materials and pack finished goods
  • Manage overtime and communicate scheduled overtime.
  • Ensure raw materials are available to support planned schedules.
  • Investigation of quality problems, for disposition of material.
  • Evaluate and minimize over-aged raw material inventory.
  • Adhere to all Company Safety rules and regulations Contributes to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts
  • Controls costs by proactively controlling expenses and elimination of waste.
  • Other tasks as assignment by management
Essential Requirements:
  • Some overnight travel by various modes of transportation including airline, train, and automobile as deemed appropriate
  • Able to work extended hours as required
  • Continuous contact with other people requiring communications via face-to-face, orally by telephone and various written methodologies
Essential Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Four year college degree, 2 years scheduling experience and/ or equivalent packaging experience.
  • Demonstrated work ethics that operates with flexibility and approaches opportunities with an open mind, an orientation towards results, a solid business perspective and a sense of urgency and ownership of the solution
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with all types of customers.
  • Must understand Oracle's iRen applications and possess well developed computer skills in order to be able to utilize Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software to assist in job performance.
  • Broad understanding of the flexible packaging industry, including terminology, technology and business practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Ability to work with extremely confidential information/situations and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work with and effectively manage through internal customers conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills through all levels of management
