Project Engineer - Quality, Kohler Services

Opportunity

As a Project Engineer  this is your unique opportunity to set your mark with the New Kohler Services business in Houston, TX. This position will drive continuous improvement in products, installations, and consumer experiences for the Kohler Services business. Additionally, this role will enhance our ability to: eliminate or reduce quality issues, support our customers, and help set the stage for business growth and preference of our products, differentiating the Kohler Services reputation from our competition. You will get to utilize your expertise in problem solving, product development, process control, customer interactions, and entrepreneurial mindset to jumpstart the Kohler Services business.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Project Manager in the development of SOP's for the installation teams.
  • Spot check installations done by our Kohler installation teams making sure we meet the quality level the Kohler consumer deserves.
  • Work with installation crews to develop a multi-point inspection that will ensure each job is completed to the same level of quality and excellence for the customer.
  • Determine reason for customer dissatisfaction or product failure and drive corrective actions. This entails but is not limited to creating physical solutions, obtaining approval from required functions, and directly implementing customer resolutions.
  • Provide proactive product development and improvement support to marketing, product engineering, customer experiences, and direct to our manufacturing facilities.
  • Deliver Results. Manage proactive and customer-focused value-added improvement projects on specific products.
  • Support various business development initiatives, including but not limited to product development of Walk-in-Bath and Showering products needed for the Kohler Services Business.
  • Analyze field data to provide decision making information for stakeholders in the business teams.
  • Support new sales growth initiatives. Provide the Kohler Services organization with an environment that fosters enhanced sales and the ability to differentiate Kohler products from the competition.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or an ABET-accredited Technical program preferred.  Technical Bachelor's Degrees with three or more years of relevant experience in field quality will be considered.
  • Willing to travel (mostly day) 40%.
  • Experience in construction or remodeling and product development preferred.
