GHD has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager Engineer/Geologist or Scientist to join our growing Mid Continent team in Baton Rouge, Houston or Dallas! Working with our Contaminated Assessment Remediation Group this position offers a variety of work opportunities and will engage you in the following:

  • Implementation of technical solutions using standard engineering/scientific methods on assignments of limited scope and complexity, usually minor phases of broader assignments.
  • Management of complex projects, plans, designs , etc., including non-routine projects.
  • Communication of complex results and strategy.
  • Preparation of data summaries and interpretation of data for review.
  • Preparation of initial drafts of correspondence, reports, work plans, specifications, etc. for internal and/or external (client) review.
  • Coordination and implementation of field work with some supervision.
  • Management of the field implementation of work plans with limited supervision.
  • Proposing field problems/work changes for review.
  • Preparation of budget cost tables from information provided by others and own investigations for review.
  • Attendance at key project and/or client meetings.
What you will develop as part of the GHD Team:
  • Management of complex soil and groundwater remediation strategy
  • Client engagement approach and stewardship
  • Complex problem solving as it relates to environmental remediation and economic decision making
  • Management of Scope, Schedule, and Budget to produce the best results possible for client
  • Diverse professional networks spanning the globe and multitudes of disciplines
  • Opportunities to engage in a wide range of environmental and geographical settings
What you will bring to the team:
  • 4-year Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science) degree
  • 5-10 years experience
  • Detail oriented with the ability to balance a diverse and changing workload
  • Critical thinking and problem solving - ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, hardworking, and have strong written and technical skills
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus
