Job Summary

The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, coordination, budgeting, contracting, and execution of large complex office building or infrastructure projects. PM will also be accountable for implementing the CAPEX for Preventive Maintenance, some of the actions for Reactive Maintenance (above $50,000 or more than 4 weeks of time reaction)
Project range from $50k to $40M

The PM should be familiar creating business cases, slide decks and understanding of financial analysis, with concepts such as cash flow, NPV, etc.

The PM will be the person in charge of any work done under its responsibilities. This role will be managed through Projects.

This position will lead projects in mostly our New York East and Connecticut locations, but also other areas in the Avangrid Portfolio. The position will be in constant contact with the Supervisor/Manager (Facilities Operations Area) of each area in order to organize the Preventive and Reactive Action.

The PM will also be responsible to measure and control the metrics and KPIs defined by the Analytics (Support Area) for this role in NYE.

Responsibilities

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

1. Reports to the Manager of Projects.
2. Define, coordinate and control any work needed for project completion
3. Analyze, defines, proposes, coordinates, develops and controls replacements for Preventive Maintenance
4. Assist in the creation of business cases and analysis for large strategic projects
5. Control any change in the buildings assigned
6. Coordinate all the actions needed in the buildings with the Supervisor of each area
7. Estimate and propose the annual Capex budget for Projects and area assigned. Review and update of Capex directly plan for assigned area.
8. Leads direct reports and project team members on projects to accomplish day to day goals and provide expertise and immediacy of decision making. As required, secures necessary resources (internal and/or external) to complete the assigned project.
9. Control of the scope, financial and schedule of the projects. Engage, manage and coordinate architects, designers, engineers, etc.
10. Maintain internal relationships with the various internal and external stakeholders required to carry out projects
11. Create, present and manage steering, champion team and other project committees, for project updates on an add needed basis
12. Leads the Procurement processes
13. Implements the Official Standards of the Department in any of his projects.
14. Implements the Environmental and Health & Safety Policies in all his projects.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree (Preference Technical) with three (5) years relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience as a team member or team lead role on at least two (2) major projects or programs, with the management of internal and external stakeholders.
• Industry or sustainability certifications a plus
