The Stetson Marketing. Project and Budget Manager has strong, demonstrated budget and project management skills. This position resides within the University's marketing area and directly manages invoices, accounts and vendors for Marketing, Creative Services, Web Services, Events, Communications. Stetson Today, The Stetson Magazine and the office of VP of Marketing and Communications.

This position works across all areas within marketing on specific projects throughout the year including photo and video shoots, campus wide events and communications (crisis and media), but will be closely aligned to the needs of the university's creative services projects for enrollment management and admissions, including managing aspects of day to day project and production flow.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with vice president and creative services and communications teams to develop and manage to key project production goals, and move seamlessly between
  • Manages multiple ongoing projects with differing deadlines on a daily basis and able to prioritize work to achieve goals and meet target dates
  • Coordinate and work with university departments and external vendors to meet deadlines and university marketing and communications
  • Manages the University Relations budget lines for the University Marketing department. Process daily check requests, purchase orders, and budget transfers through a working knowledge of Banner. Reconcile budget each month to be reviewed with VP. Maintain accurate budget information and records. Encumber funds through PO process for annual usage. Reconcile department and VP credit Process expense reports on behalf of Vice President and Marketing staff.
  • Assist on special projects for vice president and the university as needed, i.e., coordinating schedules, meetings and information needs for specific
  • Performs other site and position specific functions as assigned

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

Required Skills
  • A problem solver with good communication and listening skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Excel
  • Knowledge of print, web, photo, video and event production
  • Experience managing brand standards in the production process
  • Experience working with vendors for print and mail production, photography, events, crisis communications a plus
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with university departments
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience
  • Current Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional certification, or the ability to complete CAPM or PMP certification within one year of hire
  • Experience managing brand standards in the production process
  • Experience working with vendors for print and mail production, photography, events, crisis communications
  • Experience managing and balancing budgets, billing and payment processes
  • Experience with project management software
