Job Description:
The Leahy Center for Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity at Champlain College is seeking a Project Manager. As a member of the Leahy Center team, the major role of this position is to supervise the assessment team. This team is made up of students and faculty focused on creating assessments for National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI) courses to help determine if a prospective student has the prerequisite knowledge/skills to be successful in the course. Recruitment, management, and development of student workers is an essential responsibility of the role.
Responsible for guiding a project from conception to completion. The goal of a Project Manager is to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Several projects are typically in the process of being completed at any given time, and a Project Manager must be able to manage multiple aspects of the process simultaneously. Project Managers work cross-functionally and communicate to all parties involved in a project. As a Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met. You will also take the lead on projects, delegating tasks, and managing the productivity of your team. You will be responsible for assigning tasks to the right team members, checking on their progress, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard.
This is a temporary position through October 2022 based on external funding.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in project management, business, computer science, informational technology, or related fields preferred.
