Occupational Summary
Provide project management support to meet the project requirements of career development awards and other designated individual investigator portfolios together with the Scientific Program Leader II and the Director of Research Development.

Work Performed

  • Reporting directly to Scientific Program Leader II.
  • Implement and consistently apply standard project management processes, tools, and methodology, to achieve project goals.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of project management tools and methods that can be employed across other projects/research areas.
  • Oversee the day-to-day funds flow and budget, provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and projections for the project, working closely and collaboratively with the Department of Surgery Research Administration.
  • Develop communication plans with faculty principal investigators to proactively assess and address needs.
  • Act as a liaison for the faculty PI's between all parties to address proposed modifications to project scope, schedule, or budget and minimize impact of such changes on overall workflow.
  • Establish and maintain relevant relationships with collaborators, resource providers, and team members to facilitate timely completion of project milestones
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's degree. Additional training in Project Management coursework or certification in Project Management is desired.

Experience
Four years of progressively responsible experience in project management, including complex projects involving multiple functional groups. Experience in medical education/publishing, clinical research, or medical product development is desired. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
