The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for the Division of Behavioral Health at Lincoln Regional Center (LRC).

LRC is searching for talented MDs for our Psychiatrist positions. LRC is an inpatient, 250 bed, Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital for adult patients which is run by DHHS and is located in Lincoln, NE.

LRC serves people who need very specialized psychiatric services and provides services to people who, because of mental illness, require a highly structured treatment setting.

Starting pay rate: $150.00/hour

Position is located at Lincoln Regional Center, 801 West Prospector Ln, Lincoln NE

Two positions available. Work schedules available are Full-time Monday - Friday 8am-5pm OR Part-time Monday - Friday 8am - 12pm; Rotating on call nights and weekend approximately once every 2 months.
Examples of Work
Provide direct patient care for involuntary psychiatric inpatients at LRC. Will complete initial psychiatric evaluations, on-going patient evaluations related to progress with treatment and competency, medication management, oversight of treatment process, participation with discharge and aftercare recommendations, and coordination of the patient's treatment with other members of the treatment team.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: M.D. degree and license to practice medicine in Nebraska. Completed an ACGME approved Psychiatric residency program and board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.

PREFERRED: Experience in hospital based psychiatry.
