QTS Needs Temporary Summer Help!

Temporary Summer Medical Assembler Position Summary

Perform basic assembly and packaging of components for the medical industry during Summer 2023 (starting as soon as Monday, June 5, 2023; flexible end date but no later than Friday, September 1, 2023).

Number of Openings & Pay

We are looking for 3-5 temporary assemblers to work this summer starting at $16.00/hour.

Temporary Summer Medical Assembler Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform basic assembly, labeling and packaging in the assembly areas for specific product lines with other QTS production employees.
  • Make sure products are handled and assembled per company procedure(s).
  • Assist in production staging area, including moving pallets with a pallet jack if needed.
  • Work as part of diverse teams, where team members may speak English as a secondary language.
  • Help other team members as needed.
  • Adhere to cGMP and ISO regulations, including gowning requirements (wearing a mask, hair bouffant, white coat/gown, and gloves).
  • Responsible for maintaining an awareness of workplace safety and OSHA regulations and relevant training.
  • Assist with weekly cleaning of production area(s) and cleaning of common areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Temporary Summer Medical Assembler Job Requirements
  • At least 16 years of age.
  • Currently enrolled in High School, GED or College program.
  • Able to work required part-time hours: Monday-Thursday 6am - 2:30pm (No Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays...unless you want to if the work is available!).
  • Able to read, speak and understand English.
  • Strong attention-to-detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Able to work with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).
  • Able to work as a team and independently as needed.
  • Can sit or stand for long periods of time (at least 3 hours).
  • Can perform repetitive work for long periods of time.
  • Must be flexible willing and able to work in different 1st shift production areas, and on different teams, and take work direction from different individuals at varying levels.
Temporary Summer Medical Assembler Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Not Required)
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Assembly, cleanroom or manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Methodologies.
  • Previous work experience in a cleanroom environment.
  • Previous work experience operating a pallet jack.
  • Knowledge or training pertaining to cGMP and ISO regulations.
  • Cleanroom practices, including gowning.
