Job Description Summary
The Quality Control Scientist will report to the Clinical Cell and Vaccine Production Facility (CVPF) Deputy Director.
Job Description
This position will primarily be responsible for the strategic design, validation, and implementation of new Quality Control technologies to optimize efficiency, increase adherence to quality standards, and/or prepare for new clinical trials. Align with CVPF functional groups, including Quality Control, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance, to ensure that CVPF validations, both analytical and process, meet current validation requirements and applicable regulatory requirements. Assist the CVPF functional groups in product release, generate and review documentation on clinical manufacturing and quality control testing. Assist the Deputy Director in accelerating the transfer of technology from academic or industry project teams in preparation for new clinical trials.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in a Life Science with a strong Life Science background or other relevant discipline with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. PhD preferred. Experience with strong knowledge basis in clinical cell processing using (genetically) modified cells for clinical testing, and project management are required.
- Excellent communication skills, both speaking and writing, with senior leaders are required along with evidence of the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results given tight deadlines is required.
- Ability to function independently yet relate comfortably to a multifaceted environment, participating in and contributing to a total team effort.
-Cell Therapy or Biologics Manufacturing Facilities, and GMP/GLP Quality knowledge and experience, statistical analysis skills, ability to summarize scientific data from electronic databases, ability to write scientific material and prepare presentations of scientific content are strongly preferred.
-Knowledge base in immunology/immunotherapy is preferred.
This position is contingent upon grant funding.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
