SUMMARY

The Quality Lead will work under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor. The Quality Lead will assist in providing training, and leadership to the Quality inspection department, including compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS). Additional responsibilities such as assisting with NCMR process, calibration process, and running the day to day activities for the QC team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Assist in managing activities around non-conforming materials, such as routing NCMR for approval, file hard and soft copies, managing the NCMR log, contacting customer for approvals
* Oversee the appearance of the QC lab through 5S methods
* Sample and inspects raw materials, sub-assemblies, and final products to approved specifications, for conformance to specifications. Inspection processes are identified as receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
* Conduct 1st article inspection of materials that are associated with a qualification/ validation
* Generate Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) when materials are is observed defective and conduct proper containment
* Generate inspection records and verify this information for accuracy. Ensure that the regards meet company's good documentation practices
* Perform inspection activities to approved documented procedures
* Provide support the other department as it relates to inspection

Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different kinds of machinery, equipment, processes and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toed shoes
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

* High school diploma/equivalent
* Minimum of 3-5 years of Quality Control experience, specifically conducting visual and dimensional inspections, and at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role
* Injection molding or medical device experience is preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

* Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

JOB SKILLS

* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Proficient in MS Office
* Good leadership skills
* Ability to train others
* Ability to read blue prints
* Knowledge of standard inspection and test equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, pin gages, CMM)
* Basic knowledge of statistical sampling plans (e.g., C=0, ANSI Z1.4)
